The BPA, incorporating the Firework Maker's Guild was established in 1965 to promote the safe use of fireworks in the UK, and to represent the interests of its members in dealings with Government and other bodies. BPA membership is restricted to professional firework and pyrotechnic display companies who meet certain membership criteria.
Incident at Firework Store - 3rd December 2006The BPA was very concerned to learn of the deaths of two firefighters attending the incident in Sussex on the 3rd December 2006 and our sympathies go out to the friends and family of all those involved. Whilst it is too early to draw any conclusions as to the cause of the incident the industry would point out that the safety record for the storage of fireworks in the UK is very good and controlled by very strict legislation
